-CARIBBEAN BOUND-

Mr. H booked our Honeymoon on Wednesday!
We are headed to the Couples Swept Away Resort in Jamaica!

We get a His/Her Massage at some point of the trip that is included, PLUS some much more!

We decided the Beach Front Suite, which will give us direct access to the Caribbean Sea.

Mr. H and I are so happy to have this part of the planning Complete. <3

I have to be honest when I say that I was 'iffy' about a honeymoon to Jamaica. His sister and one of my best friends also had their honeymoons in this beautiful place, and I guess I just thought I wanted to be different. But now, my attitude has changed and I am super excited!!

Mr. H hired a Travel Agent who has been so AMAZING and has helped up us along the way to get the best deal and the most for our money.

So let the Countdown Begin!
(5 months 6 days until JAMAICA!)

HAPPY FRIDAY!
XOXO

Happy 'Hump' Day

It's Wednesday which means we are half way through the week!
YAY!

I am so thrilled to say that I have FINALLY finished William P. Young's THE SHACK

I have been wading through some deep pain and struggles the past few years was have been able to stay sane because of the Lords sweet comfort and love. While reading the book “The Shack” I was able to feel the same comfort and love that I have felt so tenderly in the past years. I have not seen God as overtly or literally as in this novel, but have felt him as intensely and the experience was just as intoxicating as it was for Mack(the main character). I believe that The Shack is able to help people, like me, who are struggling to love and to trust. To have a personification, weather true or not, helps to understand a small part of the limitless Love that God desires so greatly to give us. I am past dogma and religion in my life. None of that gives me peace and comfort. I need the raw and rough love of my Jesus.
So Simply Said- I LOVED THE SHACK!

If you have read it, I want to hear your opinions!
If you haven't, Read It!!

The weekend that was Fabulous

Happy Monday!

Mondays are my favorite day this semester, but I didn't want the weekend to end.
Here is Why:

Friday- Sister 1 arrived. Ordered Chinese Out, and hung out with friends. Got all dressed up to go Salsa dancing. Sister forgot her ID and they wouldn't let us in!

Decided to go a tiny restaurant that stayed opened until 3am.
We got back to school and to our Surprise, people ha
d made a Giant fort in our dorm lobby. It was crazy!! you could stand inside of it
We have fun even though our night was Salsa-less.
Saturday- Sister and I slept in! We got up, had some breakfast and got ready. Sister 2 arrived and we all headed to the Baseball game with my friends. Even though the weather was cool...the Sun was shinning and I loved the warmth on my legs!

We all made the unison decision to leave the baseball game early and head to Town to go shopping. Here are two of my shoe purchases:
both shoes are from Charlotte Russe. I actually both the last pair in black, not purple.
After Shopping, We headed to rent a movie and pick up necessary ingredients for a night in: Strawberries, Cookie Dough, Brownie mix, Fudge swirl Ice cream!
We Rented two movies, The Secret Life of Bees and Stepford Wives (my first time seeing SW)
Loved both! Secret Life of Bees is defiantly a new favorite!

Sunday- Sisters and I woke up and headed Down the Mountain to my wonderful Church,
Grace Community Church.
I loved Pastor Jerry's Sermon "A Method to the Marriage Madness"
We went over to a friends house for lunch and games. I love Sundays <3
Sisters had to leave and head home, so we made ourselves all busy and excited for our Oscar Social. We set up the Lobby 'Theater Style' and projected the Academy Awards on the wall.
We also encouraged people to come dressed like a movie star!
It was a fun time for everyone who came.

See! I'm wearing the new pink/purple shoes! LOVE THEM!

Well I am off to begin my Monday.
I hope everyone has a great start to the week...STAY WARM!

-Spring Things-

Happy Thursday my lovely Bloggers!

Why is Thursday so happy?? Because tomorrow is FRIDAY!!

I woke up this morning to high winds and snow flurries. I am a girl who appreciates cold weather and snow....But frankly I am tired of it!
I long for the day when I can put on a sun dress and sandals and not worry about being turned into a human ice cube on my way to class.

So I am Boycotting Winter today!

In the mood for all Things Spring, I have found a few of my favorite SPRING THINGS:

LOVE THIS BAG!!!

I found this great bag on an adorable blog and told her I would tag her and now I cant remember where i found it!
I need help citing the pic of the leather monogrammed bag!
LOVE IT and wanna give credit!

I excited that tomorrow is Friday
(even though the weatherman said it was going to be a High of 36*!!)
My Sisters are coming to visit for the weekend and I am pumped about spending time with them!

I hope all of you are Blessed today and that today is full of laughter and sunshine-even if the warm rays are in your mind!

Stay warm and have a wonderful Thursday!

V-Day Recap

Friday night My mom, one of my sisters and I went out for sushi and a movie. We saw Confessions of a Shopaholic. I LOVED IT! Besides the fact of it being a total chick flick (which I love), the movie had a really good story line and a sweet moral lesson.
If you haven't already, you should go see it!!

Saturday was Mr. H's Gift to me! He picked me up around 10am to start our V-day! We drove to his house where he said he would start his surprise. haha. I walked in the door and he pointed down to the ground. "Stand right here and close your eyes. No peaking!" I did what I was told and before I could ask any questions he was tying a blindfold around my eyes.
He drove me all over the world to get me confused on where he was taking me. It worked. I was confused and Car Sick! We finally reached our destination and he untied my blindfold. After I adjusted to the sunlight I looked around....IT WAS OUR HOUSE!!!
Mr. H has been looking into renting a house for our first couple of years of marriage. He found the most precious house. It is an Antique (almost 100 years old!) and I love it!
The inside is a little rough but a perfect project for Mr. H and I. Since it is so old, there is only 1 1/2 bathrooms...but it has 4 bedrooms! Don't be deceived by how little it looks...haha.
The Half bath, tiny and in need of some TLC and paint, was a cute surprise to see the teal and blackSo...We have a list of projects that need to be done in 5 1/2 months! I am so excited to keep everyone updated on the progress of the "H" house!

Mr. H and I went back to his house where we exchanged V-day gifts. I made him a Valentine basket full of his favorite things. A DVD, candy, orange tic-tacs, gum, A new belt, A orange hunting vest, wool socks, Hunting magazine, a can of sundrop...etc. I told him that I gave him a Easter basket for valentines day! lol...he loved it.

He did basically the same thing for me! I love getting my favs all at once!
After Mr. H and I exchanged gifts, he let me in on another secret. He had planned a candle lit steak dinner for us. We fixed dinner together and had such a lovely evening that included a hot tub visit of course!

I hope everyone had a Valentines Full of Love!

Promise to keep everyone updated!

I was Bag Tagged!

Thanks to Brenn @ Where Preppy Meets Hippie

1) Post a picture of whatever bag you are carrying as of late. No, you cannot go up to your closet and pull out that cute little purse you used back before you had kids. I want to know what you carried today or the last time you left the house. No cheating!

2) I want to know how much it cost:) And this is not to judge. This is for entertainment purposes only. So spill it. And if there is a story to go along with how you obtained it, I’d love to hear it.

3) Tag some chicks. And link back to this post so people know why the heck you’re showing everyone your bag.

I have carried this Kathy Van Zeeland bag for awhile now. I am in love with it. It is big and bold and satisfies my bling craving. Mr. H calls it my suitcase and the names serves it well because it could serve as a small carry on.

I honestly Cant remember where I purchased this Kathy. I have two more in my closet and I know that I have spent money in Marshalls, TJMAXX and Belks for these bags.

-these are a few of my favorite things-

1. Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes

Last night we got our first big snow! Last time the weather man promised white flakes, he missed it. But this time he was right on!

The girls all bundled up (despite the plague of sickness among us) and headed out to PLAY!
The roads were so icy and we knew that only meant one thing!---> Canceled Classes! and we were right :) No school today!

I laughed so hard last night when I heard someone say, "It just takes a little snow and all the Morons come out" It was not a just a few moments later when I heard "how was it?" "EPIC, I almost got a concussion!" "Sweet!" <---moron material I love to see people sledding, making snow angels, snowball fights and couples under lamp posts trying to hold on to the romance that snow so easily creates. Snow is definitely a community creator.
Some of the guys at our school announced that they were going to make hot chocolate for anyone that wanted some. My friends and I trekked across campus to get a hold of the chocolate gold. We stepped into a warm blazing fireplace and before we could take off our jackets and mittens, we were offered a hot cup of coco. I love snow days!

{weekend recap}

Future Hubby arrived earlier than expected on Friday afternoon to surprise me :)
*love when he does that*
He picked me up and we preceded to the hotel so he could check in. I helped him move his teacher stuff to the room (he thought he was going to get away with grading papers while I did wedding stuff...Not a chance!)
We decided on dinner and ended up a at little bistro in the town where I go to school in. It was nice and especially nice for him to be sitting across the table from me!

We went to the grocery store after dinner because I was DETERMINED to get the 100 calorie pack of Oreo Cakesters. Of course they were all out so I settled for the grasshopper (choco&mint) instead. We made our way back and tried to decide what to do first. We decided to address all of the Save-The-Dates...Never Imagined how overwhelming that could have been... but he was such a wonderful help. he stuffed and looked up addresses while my hand cramped from addressing all of the envelopes.
-we are pretty independent people, so of course we are doing all of this ourselves!-
FYI - my wishlist now includes a return label stamp for us to use in the future!
Its nice to say that the savethedates are sent!

Saturday we met with friends (actually my boss and her husband) for Breakfast. They have the most adorable child and it was so fun for us to be around young married people together.
We were honored that they would think of us.

Later that morning we made our way to town and picked up some pottery(happy birthday hGB!) and then went CAKE TASTING!
We had an appointment with The Bake Shoppe . A tiny 'hole in the wall' type place but excellent serive and a precious owner.
We decided on Almond flavor for the cake and buttercream icing with fondant ribbons around each layer.

Example of the look I am going for:Ours is a 4-tier that is very similar to this one.
So we are excited to have that decided and checked off the list.

Well sadly my dear Fiance had to leave to head back home, and what a coincidence that I would get sick. SO...I was sick on a saturday night and all day sunday and for the superbowl.

Lots of fun this weekend (minus the sickness) and got lots done!
I'm always glad to have him here :)

Happy Monday (my fav day this semester)!
