2 days 'til Christmas!

Its the eve of Christmas eve! I am sure you have felt the rush and chaos of the holiday when you take a trip to the mall and especially Walmart. I have to make one more trip today to pick a few ordered Items and a quick grocery errand.

Today I am making:

123 Sausage Balls:

1 pound of your preferred Sausage
2 cups of Cheddar Cheese
3 Cups of Bisquick

Allow cheese to come to room temperature. Combine all ingredients (easier done by hand). Shape into 1 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Serve immediately or may be frozen for future use.

Makes 40-50 balls.

Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies:

1 pkg. Chocolate Cake Mix

1/2 c. margarine or butter, softened

1 egg

Combine all ingredients at low speed until thoroughly moistened. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 for 9-12 minutes. Cool two minutes; remove from pans.

Tips: If using chocolate cake mix, add 2 Tbsp. water to ingredients

If desired, stir in 1 c. chocolate chips or 1/2 c. chopped nuts.

If desired, frost cookies with your favorite flavor of frosting.

For sandwich cookies, spread frosting between 2 cookies.

I was tagged by a southern girl in the city in Photo Tag!
This picture was taken on my birthday weekend. We had a big 4-wheeling day with guns and a bonfire. In this picture I was shooting cans with a 22 rifle. The girl in the background is my future sister-in-law.

There are a few simple rules...

Go to your pictures and choose the fourth folder and fourth picture in that folder. Post it with for us to see along with a description of the people/event. Afterwards tag four more people.

I tag Life from the Low land Chateau, sipping hot tea, Red Rainboots Green Grass and A Beautiful Mess I cant wait to see all your pics! Tag your it!

{little things}

First of all I would like to say that the PA program open house went very well. I must admit that I left feeling a tad intimidated, but only because of my age. I was totally encouraged from the fact that I felt like my education experience was just as good and even better than most of the other prospective students. I was in a sea of people like the cute little man who has already been a practicing physician for 30 years in another country and the athletic trainer for APP state and an RN of 10 years. I defiantly felt young. Intimidated but not at all discouraged. So needless to say I need experience. So I am going to set off to do just that.

Tonight I am going to the Behold the Lamb of God Concert at Mecklenberg Community Church. I know that it is going to be a Christmas experience that I will never forget.

Tomorrow I am going to go finish up Christmas shopping! This time of year is always so busy but I LOVE IT!

open house

I am off to my first PA studies open house today at Wingate University. I have so many emotions: nervous, excited, scared... It must just be the fear of the unknown and the fact that my life is about to drastically change.

I will give you an update of how it goes!

[Beyond ourselves]

I have been struggling to get in the Christmas Spirit this season and I read something so precious on AGH blog that I think will lift my Holiday funk. She is challenging everyone to live beyond themself. To take kindness to another level and to give wonderful gifts everyday of the week. I am taking the challenge and I encourage you to do the same. Link
Money Monday- Wherever you eat today pay for the persons behind you whether it be at Starbucks for your morning coffee or Panera for your lunch, pick up their tab. This works best in drive thrus but can be done anywhere. This random act of kindness will make someones day.

Talking Tuesday- Be intentional about telling someone you are thankful for them or give someone a compliment. We can do so much to brighten someones day by just a few words.

Wild Card Wednesday- just do something nice. It might be as small as letting someone go in front of you in a line or as big as picking up that angel off the angel tree you have been debating about buying for.You decide what to do.

Thankful Thursday- make a list of ten things you are thankful for in these hard economic times and post it on your blog.

Friday Fun and Friends- Do something for someone close to you. It is so fun to take a friend for a manicure or buy them their favorite truffles simply to be nice.

You are more than welcome to post this on your blog to share with others.Don't do this to make you feel good about yourself but rather because you are so blessed your life should overflow kindness. Leave me a message letting me know you are taking on the challenge! Have fun! I'd love to hear your stories!

so close...

It is Sunday again and I am reminded of how blessed I am. My Bible fellowship group at church is so amazing. There is so many kind and genuine people. And of course when all the personalities are in one room, it is hilarious. We had a Christmas party this past wednesday and I finally saw the movie White Christmas for the first time. Loved it!! We also had a $2 dirty santa game and I got a soda can($.50 Each) Christmas tree!
Today the girls in the dorm celebrated baby Ryann's 1st birthday. It was such an adorable birthday party. I bought her her first pair of cowgirls boots. She was so cute in them.
I only have 4 more days of my fall semester of my senior year. It is so bittersweet. I am so ready to be finished with exams and make it home to plan the wedding, but on the other hand I want a Pause button to push so that I can savor this time in my life just a little longer. Well I am off to 2 Christmas parties this evening and then locking my self in the library to study.

typical

I was half awake this morning picking out my clothes before I started my morning routine. I picked out a cute sweater dress to wear and discovered discovered all the wrinkles it had from the trip home. I laid it out on my bed and went to fetch my beloved Downy Wrinkly Release spray. Right away I noticed that the bottle was more like Squirting than spraying. "weird" I thought to myself. I kept on spraying naturally. There was a strange odor that woke me out of my half awaken state. Puzzled I looked at the front of the bottle, CLOROX bleach spray!!!! I was spraying my sweater dress with BLEACH instead of de-wrinkling it! Typical Hannah moment. Not to worry, my adrenaline kicked in and I was able to wash all the bleach off before it had time to react with my plum color dress. I am so happy I won that battle!

I am off of school today and am still at home. It has been wonderful being here with my family and Jordan and I have had no time do do anything school related. So the pressure is on today. The girls are at school and mom at work, so with the house to my self I am going to finish up wrapping Christmas presents for the girls at school and am going to knock out work that is due for classes tomorrow.

does anyone else feel 10 pounds heavier from all the turkey?
